ten things i wish i knew when i started 'watch dogs 2' - simple car alarm
While I did receive a copy of my "watchdog 2" Review a few days in advance, the game was very broad
I barely completed the embargo in time and was always distracted by the branch lines and points of interest scattered on the map.
But the end result is that in the last 72 hours I 've spent about 30 hours playing the game and at this point I beat the main mission and beat each side of the mission, this is a great way to find every major point of interest in the world.
So I feel like I can give you some pretty solid advice on the game and something you should know from the start.
While my comments are more about the quality of the game and how it has improved than its predecessor, here I would like to tell you some details about how you might want to consider playing
I want to know ten things when I start watching dogs 2:1. Just. . .
Don't use a gun, I know, I know, it might look crazy, but I promise you, it's the "right" way to play "see dog 2.
Like its predecessor, when it tried to be a stolen car, it was in its worst state, giving players access to a bunch of heavy weapons, and try to shoot in case they should invade.
If you reach out and take a gun every time you meet an enemy, instead of using a lot of thingsimproved non-
Deadly and hack mechanics, you will miss the fun of the 90% watch dog 2 game.
On top of that, I said in the comments that I hope death is not even an option because it has little narrative meaning.
While the mob mystery hacker Eden Pearce is probably tolerable running around with a gun to kill corrupt police and gang members, it doesn't make sense for stupid, kind-hearted people
Natsec members were grumpy and fired automatic weapons on the streets of San Francisco to anyone who viewed them in the wrong way. Going (mostly)non-
Deadly is not only more fun, but more in line with the overall tone of the game and the set goals and methods of DedSec.
When I started on the mission, I really regretted it and only after I gave them up completely did watching dog 2 really become my own dog. 2.
When you start the game for the first time, the first thing you buy should be the quadcopter, you will get the RC car for free, but you have to get the quadcopter drone before you buy anything else
This is the only real mission critical item in the game that can be purchased in cash for only $50
Around 60 k, you should be able to accumulate after hunting down a few bags of money and bugging a few phones around the world.
The game may prompt you to finally get the drone, but you 'd better get the drone as soon as possible.
It's hard to underestimate the importance of drones to everything in the game.
It can scout the enemy's position from high.
It can set a complete trapping trap without being discovered.
It can crack task goals and skill points by itself.
It can find a way to get to the roof, which is the key to the endless location on the whole map.
Get it as soon as possible and after that you will not have any east-west reach. 3.
The first upgrade you bought should be car theft OK, technically this will be the second upgrade you bought as it is the second level and you have to buy a remote driving car first
But trust me, when I say this is the most commonly used ability in the game, it will make your life easier when you buy it.
This is automatic.
Unlock any car you find on the street without giving a car alert.
Sounds simple but you will start soon
Travel around the map and you won't have a car when you arrive.
You can order one using the mobile app (
Don't forget to download that one, the way to buy it)
, But no matter what is nearby, it is much easier.
The problem is that if you don't have this skill and there is anyone near you, any car will issue a car alert and have the police call you.
Buying this skill will never happen again, greatly improving the quality of life.
However, it won't let you use the car without consequences, but there are enough parked cars around you that you will never really do unless you feel like you are a jerk. 4.
When you're using a thief SkillIt that isn't actually called a "thief skill", you'll never have more fun than that, but that's the essence of it.
Observing dog 2 adds a new ability to call the police or members of a local gang to attack the target after you falsify the evidence against them.
A more advanced version of this upgrade will send the heaviest gang thugs or the entire SWAT team.
This is not entirely"
Deadly ", because whoever you send will almost always have a fatal shootout with your target and its allies, but this is the most interesting ability in the game.
You can sit on the roof of a gang hideout and have Swat come crashing down the alley and once more than a dozen bodies pile up, just Waltz and get your prize
If you 've been hunted, it's also a way to get rid of the heat, because once your chaser starts targeting a third party and not just you, you can get away in the crossfire.
There are many new hacks in WD2, but this has to be my favorite.
Investment requires a lot of skill points, but it is definitely worth it. 5.
Almost every task can be defeated with your RC car and DroneOne, one thing you will eventually learn about Watch dog 2 is not to overthink about the task because of this, marcus does almost nothing, sending his robot army to do dirty work, and many of them may be defeated.
I remember a mission where I was asked to enter a locked gang hideout.
I tried shooting with my Taser gun and I called Swat and I did everything but was dying all the time.
But what is the final solution?
I pressed the horn of my RC car at the door, a gang member turned on the horn, I ran past his line of sight and blacked out the wall unit I should have contactedEasy peasy.
So many tasks are like this.
You think Marcus has to carry out some impossible tasks.
Style antics to accomplish the target, but you can almost always scout and set traps with drones, avoid guards with your RC car, drive through the vents and perform any physical attacks necessary.
In rare cases, Marcus has to do something on his own, but I would say that only your bot can achieve the 80% goal of the game.
Upgrade their speed boost skills to make them more effective and let them carry bomb/stun equipment for weapons if needed.
If you don't care at all about not knocking seven kinds of hell down your head, they should be the first line of attack for you at any time. 6.
If you decide to play the agent of Marcus, there is a combination that can destroy any enemy, you take my advice and don't use any deadly guns, you have to master a combination in order to be effective.
The stun gun is a one-time kill weapon, so it is perfect for killing almost any enemy if you aim your shot right.
But the game also gives you a hit kill ability in the form of Marcus's melee action, which is not some of the awkward series haymaker GTA-GTA
Style boxing, but the enemy can't stop the sliding head knocking down at all, even the "heavies" you will encounter later in the game ".
It's not just a bit overdone, especially when you pair it with the second part of the combo. It’s easy.
See the enemy and click on L1 which will cause their phone to buzz and they will check it automatically.
This will allow you to sprint to them, not even detect the possibility of the last second, and take them out in melee.
The same is true in open battles.
If the enemy has suppressed you and has opened fire on you, just click L1 again and this time it will painfully destroy their communication, allow you to shoot them with your Taser gun or run up and melee them.
If there are a large number of other enemies within the line of sight that will destroy you as you move, the combo fails, but whatever your enemy is equipped, marcus should not lose 1v1 with this strategy. 7.
Cash is almost nothing, but CosmeticsWatch dog 2 shows the huge role of getting Marcus to collect cash, both from running Uber-
Like a driving mission, look for money bags in remote or heavily guarded places, or invade people's bank accounts.
But the basic fact is that the monetary system is more or less completely optional.
Drones are the only important tools to spend money.
You can buy some weapons, but again, I don't recommend doing this, and you only have two positions where you can get a gun from the fallen enemy if you really want.
Elsewhere, cash is simply used for clothes that don't have a bonus at all, or you can spend money on the car, which is fun because you can buy some good, cheat them with awesome DedSec paint work, but again, you rarely use your "own" car like.
Not so many driving tasks and B)
It's almost always easier to grab any car parked nearby than looking for a delivery tool from your app.
So while currency is fun to buy a new suit, paint job or an exotic car or two, in fact it's not all a crucial task, so, don't be too nervous if you often see money icons on the screen and feel the need to get them.
It doesn't matter if you do, but knowing what you're investing in, it's more or less a style point. 8.
If you just do the XP system of the main QuestsWatch Dogs 2, you will drown in the skill points, it depends on "followers" who fill up 1 m and will let you go from 2
9 skill points when you reach a new threshold.
But while the game likes to throw out some small challenges for you to get 7,000 fans here or get 11,000 fans there, trust me when I say you don't have to commit suicide in order to rank, and don't have to be stressed by not reaching many skill points in the field.
As you get deeper and deeper into the game, the main quests and some larger feeder quests begin to give you an absolutely huge following reward. A four-
Phase Main tasks may give you 27,000 for each of the first three stages and then complete the final goal anywhere between 200,000 and 400,000.
So while random wild skill points and small fry follower tasks are good, they are not required if you focus only on larger tasks, you will almost certainly have enough skill points to regulate any building you want.
By the end, you can unlock most nodes without even actually trying.
The reward will come as long as it stays on the target. 9.
Understanding what skills are not a priority because I like many of the skills in see dog 2, reaching the end of the game and completing almost every task makes me feel that which tasks are not very useful.
Obviously due to the game style I chose, I don't care about the five or so nodes dedicated to lethal weapons, but elsewhere?
There is an ability for you to disable the chase helicopter, but even though it sounds cool, I only ran three times from the helicopter in 30 hours and only once really caused the problem or me. Not worth it.
Again, while I do find the "Mass Communication hacking" skills very useful for disrupting the entire army to chase me right away, I think "disable all city infrastructure" hurts you more than it helps because all it does is make it dark, but it doesn't make you hack anything after that
Again, the "disable all cars" one is good in a few minutes, but there are only a few cars chasing throughout the game, so it doesn't seem worth spending about 8 skill points.
Also, unlike the original watchdog, I think "cash in stock-
The upgrade of the rich whale is very good, because they give you a lot less money than before, and in any case, cash can't really buy so many useful things.
Some skills don't feel important, but they are important, such as your RC car's ability to jump higher, and the improvement of cars and drones.
Also, even if you're not a gadget person, be able to make stun/explosives anyway, even if you don't bring it to a full upgrade tree that can accommodate every ton. 10.
By keeping the emoticon turned off, avoiding a Bug that destroys the game, after I made a comment, I finally found a bug that destroys the game, which has not been fixed yet, so I want
When you press D-
Pad, you will open the quick menu for guns, skills and equipment.
When you press D-
Pad, you will turn on your emoticon and let you make gestures to civilians or other players.
I can't explain exactly what's going on, but in the heat of the battle I tried to do a massive communication hack and instead got my way into the emotional wheel.
When I went back to the right menu, I saw that the hacker had switched the menu.
One of the expressions is now in the gear/hack menu, while hack is now in the emoji menu and cannot be used.
I thought it was some kind of hotkey system I didn't understand, but when I tried to transfer it back by pressing the random button in both menus, all that happened was that more expressions started to transfer.
So far I have no access to my lethal weapons, stun grenades and two of my three mass hacks.
Ubisoft confirmed to me that this is an error they might fix in a new patch this week.
You may be able to get the weapon again via a 3D printer, but there is no way to retrieve your gadget or hacking skills.
My suggestion is to never open the emoticons menu in order to avoid this.
I can't say exactly what I did, but this is something to switch between menus, so just open your gear menu and leave there as fast as you can if you find yourself in the emoji wheel.
I'm glad I didn't come across this before I finished the main part of the game.
Anyway, as much as I may continue, this is my top 10 advice.
I really like this game and I hope you like it too.
